- Legal Requirements: Where required by court order, subpoena, or applicable law.

Security and Retention

Immigration records are typically retained for a minimum of six (6) years following the conclusion of your matter, in accordance with regulatory requirements. After the retention period has expired, personal information is securely destroyed or anonymized.

Under PIPEDA and applicable privacy law, you have the following rights with respect to your personal information:
- Right of Access: You may request access to the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy in a reasonable timeframe.
- Right to Correction: If you believe the information we hold is inaccurate or incomplete, you may request that we correct it.
- Right to Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw your consent to our collection or use of your personal information at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. Withdrawal may limit our ability to provide services.
- Right to Complain: If you believe your privacy rights have been violated, you may file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC) at www.priv.gc.ca.
